Hi, thank you for stopping by.
I'm Sasikumar Ramu and here's my story.

International Soccer
My dream as a boy was to play for my country. I must say I was blessed to have presented my Singapore and played in major tournaments like World Cup Qualifiers, Asian Cup, Pre Olympics Qualifiers and International friendlies.

My real break came when I scored the most important goal in the history of Singapore football. I scored a goal in an International tournament called the Tiger Cup in 1998, and that was first time Singapore had won anything at International level.

I played professional soccer for 12 years and retired at a tender age of 29 to pursue a career in Sports marketing.

Sports Business
I retired at the age of 29 from professional soccer to pursue a career in sports marketing.

I was blessed to get the opportunity to move to Melbourne, Australia in 2004 as soon as I got disillusioned with playing professional football and decided to "pack it in" to get on with my next career.

The timing was perfect and Melbourne was a perfect city to start my sports business career.

I started working on exporting Australian sports excellence to India and ended up placing the Cricket coach of India through the work we did, a job that is almost or as important as the Prime Minister's job in India!

But due to family commitments, I moved back to Singapore a year and a half later. I was applying for jobs and I found none. So I thought to myself. If i can't get a job I am going to create one.

That's when I started my sports marketing agency Red Card Global with just my credit card and a desk at a co working space.

Fast forward, the agency was acquired in 2016 by a Japanese MNC after being valued at $10million.

Sports Media
I've always wanted to be a sports journalist. In 1998, I had an opportunity to be part of ESPN Star sports as part of their coverage of the English Premier League. Since, I have gone onto to covering The FIFA World Cup twice, European Championships, The Youth Olympics and regional competitions.

In 2020, I partnered with a national broadcaster in Singapore to launched my own sports radio show called "Sports Talk weekend". I produce and present the show on a weekly basis.
